[Kaitou made tracks quickly to the Myodouin household, bypassing anyone coming in the front door and leaping over the fence. His bag was squirming but he had put a lock on it just in case.

Slipping into the compound, he stealthed around and peered around a corner. Good, she was alone.]

I... wha... what is that? Is that a...!? [Her face runs hot; proof or not, there are some things you don't do in a girl's own home. And she walks over and decks him for it, a solid shot right to the face.] How dare you! But... you're right. It's evidence. There wouldn't be merchandise if it didn't happen.

[And his instructions to Potpourri really drove it home.] I'm... I'm a Precure...? But I... [She looks down at the fairy in her arms, and she can't seem to find the anger she'd been channeling, her complaint dying on her lips as she realizes that this fairy is effectively hers.]

[Kaitou drops like a rock. Clearly he is unable to take punches as he holds his chin with pain blossoming from it.] That's the second time someone punched me today.

You're a Precure. What, did you think that the community would choose just any random person from the World Without Riders?

[sunbloom]

The second time? ['He said he "stole him"... did he...!?'] Did you fight Blossom for him? [She's not sure whether to be touched or angry again.]

...Yes? Why would I even know the answer to that question? It's like I told Tsubomi earlier. It doesn't matter if you have power or not. It's about having the heart for the task at hand. Honestly, I could care less why I was chosen. [Her grip on the warm fairy in her arms tightens unconsciously, ever so slightly.] It's working out, but...

I merely caused a distraction. [Which was codeword for 'yes, yes I did.']

Those two wouldn't know what to do with a treasure like a fairy that isn't their own. At best, they could have kept him from meeting you for weeks without knowing who was his partner.

It's good I'm on the ball of things though.

You may want to tell her he's safe though.

You didn't hurt her badly, did you? [There's a worried expression on her face, but she sighs a moment later.]

I don't like that you fought Blossom for a fairy, and that you kidnapped that fairy, even if you were making sure the fairy in question got to his partner without a fuss. But...

[Her face goes bright red, and she has a tender smile.] I'm... glad you did it. Thank you, Kaitou. I'll let her know.

She's ruffled. A little. [Holding up his DiendDriver, the community appeared, with a picture of Tsubomi's recent post.] She's pretty upset, so I'd say talk to her.

And hey, I needed to clear my karma palate. So to speak. I'm sure Yuri'll show up soon to beat me into the ground, followed by the rest of the Precure.

[sunbloom]

Tsubomi... I'll talk to her. You're not off the hook, though.

[She sighs again.] ...is what I'd like to say, but I owe you so much after this, that I can't really back that up. Just... don't do anything reckless?

I don't expect to be. But the thought is appreciated.

Here. [And he held out a USB stick.] Plug that into your computer and watch those episodes, see what you missed. [Documenting 20 and 21 mostly, since it spans a few days of ridiculous and Precure Scout Man.]

[sunbloom]

[She accepts the USB stick, glancing at it thoughtfully.] Not many people would give people a show about themselves to explain. But I'll give it a look. I need to figure out what's going on before I talk to Tsubomi. Before I decide what I'm going to do.

...you know, you've probably thrown something out of whack, if these are different than what you've just done. And I strongly suspect whatever you did to Blossom isn't going to be what I'm watching.

Best do that. Hibiki's already threatening to beat me up. I think I'll let her, just because I deserve it for letting a treasure be destroyed on my watch.

... not the fairy, [he amended.] Just, don't be too surprised if I do this again.

[sunbloom]

...you're very serious about this. Even if I don't like it, I can respect that. You're a better person than I first thought.

So I understand. Just... be careful, okay?

Treasure must never be lost. A history where Kaitou Daiki caused a treasure to be lost, is not an acceptable history for me.

So, I'll be careful. [And the world rippled around him as he backed into it, making his signature gunshot pose.]

[sunbloom]

[Itsuki smiles, but doesn't question him further, just watching as he leaves. Once he's gone, she just looks down at the happy plushie in her hands.]

I guess we'd better talk to Tsubomi before she goes off on someone.
